Art imitates Art!?!
I think this confirms what Trey and Matt were trying to convey. Sprinkle some gays in your Cowboy Film and bam instant Indy status and oooo Oscar talk. Someone in the article ponders how Brokeback will play in the Heartland, are you kidding, does Hollywood even care, isn’t this film made for crowds in NY, LA, and Colorado? My blue heaven.
I guess the art crowd doesn’t realize how easy they are to play to. Simply input the minority or oppressed Du-Jur and your on your way to critical acclaim.
